@slliks67 to do a rimshot you hit the rim and the head simultaneously with the same stick creating a louder "snappy" sound, a side stick it when you rest the butt of the stick on the head and drop the stick down on the rim creating a "tok" sound..completely different techniques.

how do you control your vst with the djx? it doesn't have a usb. please tell me. i used to have one of those.

@PlateOh it depends of the kit, i'm right? a clap or a finger snap isn't so much helpful on an acoustic kit.

@macjsus Yep, that should be the clap. Unfortunately some of the kits I'm using these days don't follow the General MIDI percussion key map. Boooo!
