@Chris242tt The 70s were fun to look back on. (Time heals wounds) But we had problems back then, too, Inflation was a lot higher. The draft & Vietnam loomed over our heads. Young men were being shipped off to Vietnam to fight a war under the leadership of incompetant Washington bureaucrats who were more than willing to sacrifice our young men to appease their lobbyists. Student unrest was practically at a fever pitch over the war, racial discrimination & other social problems.

Yup, my mom smoked these damn things, too. She buy 'em by the carton, and we'd steal a box and puff in the garage, till we got busted. Hate commercial TV. She quit, though, years ago, and still kicking at 85. Notice how it looks like her dress is pulled up at 20sec - 22sec. Subliminal suggestion, how evil those guys were.

I agree. I watch these cigarette commercials becaue they take me back to my childhood and they're frakking fun to watch. So lighten up. (Pun not intended).

@Thegrinch17 The same thing happened to my aunt. She smoked Salems too she died at 48 and left a six year old grandaughter and a daughter, my cousin who just graduated high school, she died one week later June 13,1986.

Salems rock! Lets have the freedom to have Ciggarettes comercials back on pay tv , It would boster the advertising industry. I f we can worship beer commercials during the superbowl,we can have cig. comercials on pay cable tv!

Keep on smoking them, buddy! You'll end up just like my mother, who smoked Salem cigarettes for years. She died a horrible death at a young age. Wait & see how cool smoking is when you have to struggle just to breathe!
