Analog TV broadcasting of CJON-TV in St. John's ends July 11, 2011, well ahead of the deadline of August 31, 2011. For the next three weeks, NTV's main transmitter in St. John's will be upgraded from analog to digital, providing a hi-def over-the-air signal to viewers there. NTV HD is expected to be launched on August 3, 2011, and it will be seen not only over-the-air in St. John's, but also on digital cable and satellite providers everywhere across Canada.
