Is there a way to tell how many quantum fluctuations are large enough to infinitely expand to create what we call a universe which is equal to zero? A quantum fluctuation expands with a positive and negative form of itself thus canceling itself out and the product will be equal to zero, no different from nothing.

Think about space as an infinite number of points distributed evenly in all directions. What quantum theory predicts, and more precisely the quantum theory of fields, is that vacuum will no longer be nothing. Instead in addition to what we define as classical vacuum, we will see little oscillators in each points, and quantum effects will force this oscillators to have a non-zero energy. What u see in this video is a special type of vacuum, called kink, and the correspondent quantum oscillations
