This video was recorded in a West African refugee camp. Music does not get more roots than this. Though the rest of his bandmates returned back to Sierra Leone, Mohamed is still too traumatized to return to his homeland and remains in a refugee camp to this day.

i actually just heard that he just returned to freetown about a month ago and is living with grace and rueben, two of the other all stars. may they all finally have peace. see the film, it's amazing.

Wow, this is wonderful! Thanks for contacting me. I used to take African Dance classes a number of years ago from a guy from Ghana. I was always spellbound by the great cultural stories behind the West African dances told through dance and drumming!
