Its using a pacifier to calm your child, when at that age they should already know how to calm themselves! Unless she has some type on mental disorder i don't think a 5 year old should have one!

Leave the poor kid alone she is 5 for pete's sake not 16 or anything like that and you are not her parents. Her parents are aloud to raise her however they see fit and you are not in that little girls shoes so don't judge. Believe it or not kids realize alot more than you would think at 5 so you should be ashamed of yourselves putting down a 5 year old!
