Stop Online Piracy Act SOPA Law and why I will not be signing it

I chanced upon a Mrtardisreviews trickery video where he said that there is a new act in America that is going to stop online piracy. He claims this will effect us all and that youtube will be brought down over it.

WRONG!!!!

The only people that will be brought down over it are people like him. People who simply use copyright footage video and audio without permission. Before you turdboys say that Tardis has permission then look at the facts. If he had permission he would not be getting bent out of shape with this new act. Its obvious to me that he is scared out of his mind that for once the industry has done something good.

Youtube and other sites suffer because of copyright infringement. People that make decent quality and do not use other peoples work are overlooked by people like him that simply use copyright in order to get views.

I repeat the only people who wont sleep soundly in their beds are the likes of Turdis that will be waiting for that knock on the door.

I removed 98% of my copyright when I became a partner. If he doesn't have courage in his own work that he has to use other peoples hard earned work then he is a mug .....

Piracy effects us all and that is coming from a bloke who used Napsta and Kazza and a number of other P2p networking in his time. But now I realised it is destroying the industry and creating a loss of jobs for thousands of people that work hard to bring these shows and films to our screens.

There are plenty of talented Youtubers that will not lose out. Plenty of them that use their own material and don't have to rely on copyright infringement to get views.

So really all Turdis is saying in his video is that it will effect the likes of him that use others work blatantly without any permission. So there is no way I am going to sign a petition to stop something that finally will put an end to people like him being on youtube.

But if the SOPA act goe's ahead if one person uploads ONE single copyrighted thing then the WHOLE site goe's down in 2 seconds , no one can fight against it the site will be taken down the person with copyrighted material and that person will be arrested and blacklisted from the internet. That means even a song in the backround of your video then that counts as copyright to them , these people don't care about copyright , it's a cover-up if SOPA goe's ahead it'll be the death of the Internet.

@DWhoFan2011 I think it will not effect those that use their talent wisely and do not have to use others work in order to justify it. For instance Thats The way it goes 09 has used some music that he got from a free site for his intro. He does not use copyright footage. I use it whilst the bill is not out yet. As soon as I get the warning I will remove the copyright.

Ok then, I got a question for you.

There are people out there that do put up videos of copyrighted content but they add their own form creative work to it such as narration, movie maker editing and even clips from themselves that they have created.

Sure they are using copyrighted content but they are also throwing in their own little twists to them as well like video game uploaders.

Do these people, in your eyes, also qualify as illegal law breakers?

@Aspergianstar2009 Oh thank god , so chances are youtube will send out a warning to get all copyrighted video's off youtube within say a week , that would help because I could just get them all and replace their soundtracks with Royalty Free music.

@Aspergianstar2009 *bangs head against wall*. You STILL don't understand what SOPA does. If SOPA passes then where won't be a youtube for you to comply with to keep your channel. SOPA holds the hosts of the website responsible and shuts them down without any opposition (so google can't protest). Channel's dont get taken down, the whole website does. Actually do your research on this subject because it's clear you only support SOPA because MTR opposes it *facepalm*.
