Warren's voice changed at the worst possible time. Reminds me of an episode of the Simpsons when Homer had a heart attack and his whole life flashed before him and one memory was when he was singing in the church choir, his father has big hopes for him to be a singer and suddenly his voice changes into what it is now and his father says,"Dag nabbit!"
