@KDol0 I meant in the first part of the game before you had access to better weapons like what you stated, sorry if I wasn't clear on what I meant, but you are right that the Hellbore Cannons and Targeting Systems are more effective. With the stuff you get form the Melnorme along with building the Vindicator in a correct way, you turn it into a pure Game Breaker.

The first time you run into an Ur-Quan Dreadnaught (most likely at Unzervalt, when you try to go home for a visit), you're likely very, very glad to have Fwiffo along. A Dreadnaught will blow the Tobermoon or the early-game flagship out of space in seconds, because they can't keep their distance, but Fwiffo can just dance around outside the range of the Dreadnaught's main gun, outrun its fighters, and peck it to death with B.U.T.T.s.

@poopskinTheLiar A trick that I found out while playing the game is this: Make sure your spinning jets are maxed out and get 2 Ion-Bolt Guns (set them to make one of them shoot from the tip of the flagship and the other gun behind the nose gun). That way you can turn around to aim at the probes (since they circle around your ship) and then fire like heck; making it easier to defeat them due to the fact you made your attack system behave like a spread gun, which is more accurate.
