on that web site it says rember you need at least firmware 3.0! at 3.1.3 only with out simlock use on your own risk would that effect my iphone 3gs its on version 4.3.5

I just followed the instructions but at the end, the "tehtering " was not there as an option...? i have i phone 3g and the latest version 4.2.1 . any help? should i remove the whole thing? appreciate if someone help me on this.
