A summer weekend at Jonathan Dickinson State Park, Florida, camping and canoeing along the Loxahatchee River in Florida.
Although we did not see or encounter any alligators, a week later, to the day, on June 19th 1993, Bradley Weidenhamer a 10 year old boy was killed by an 11'4" alligator while wading in the Loxahatchee River in Jonathan Dickinson State Park at 6:00 in the evening. May he rest in peace.

actually, I just went and there IS running water if you are going against the current and you are near the dam. we turned around and had to go against it, it was hard!
