Wallace was one of the few criminals who you could actually feel sympathy for; he was really just a kid who had to shoulder impossible responsibilities.

All those kids are orphans. Probably cause of the same bullshit, that Wallace, and Dukie go through. Wallace takes care of them, cause he's... well fucking Wallace. Also some of the kids apparently work for Barksdale when they count money, as stated in the end. Count be wrong they fuck you up.

can somebody explain something i don't understand:
what are wallace and poot doing with all those kids in the squat? are all their mothers drugs addicts, so not able to take care of them? why do wallace and poot take care of them? because all those kids work for the barksdale org?
