When Phil was with The Glass Harp, his drummer was John Sferra. John's cousin was a good friend of mine. When Glass Harp went to New York to record their first album, they were in Electric Ladyland Studios and saw a list Jimi had posted on his office wall of the 10 best guitarists he had ever heard, Phil Keaggy was number one.

Not entirely accurate. First of all, we don't have everything recorded that Hendrix ever said, so who knows who he mentioned to whoever at whatever time? He did mention Billy Gibbons as one of the best young guitarists though on Johnny Carson's show.

Jimi Hendrix never said that. Jimi only mentioned 2 guitarists that he thought were amazing Harvey Mandel and Terry Kath. Phil is amazing but the story is not true.
