I downloaded the 30 day trial version of this. It doesn't sound like my ARP Axxe, it doesn't display properly, it's literally half an octave out of tune, and WayOutWare still haven't answered my email about these problems, almost at the end of the trial period. It could be ok if it worked properly, though not a replacement for an Axxe, but under these circumstances basically it's useless.

THIS soft synth has major issues with VST compatibility.. It makes Cubase 5 and Nuendo 5 Crash.. BAD VST programming..

So if you have Cubase 5 or Nuendo 5 avoid this VST..

You can check at Guitar Center.. Everytime you try to run C5 or N5, when they read this plug-in... pooofff ! crash. I have to remove it from the VST folder but then every day, all GC demo computers reset to default and the file goes back to VST folders... I smell a rat about this..

I wish the person doing the demo actually knew how to play something i.e. know music, as opposed to using 'gibberish' sequences. This thing can do so much more. Lazy demonstration.

It's too late now for TimewARP 2600 to take the crown, damn it. The new FXPansion D-Cam synths have stepped up to compete. I do hope though that WOW come out with more ground breaking emulations. The company needs more recognition. Credit where credit is due.

Actually Timewarp2600 is so good that the creator of the original hardware gave his approval of it. The Arturia's one is just weak junk, usable but the distinct dirtyness of a real ARP is missing.
