The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, known commonly as the Egyptian Museums, in Cairo, Egypt, is home to an extensive collection of ancient Egyptian antiquities. It has 120,000 items, with a representative amount on display, the remainder in storerooms.
It is unique in its presentation of the whole history of Egyptian civilization, especially of antiquities of the Pharaonic and Greco-Roman periods
It houses the worlds largest collection of Pharaonic antiquities, and many treasures of King Tutankhamen.
In the Royal Mummy Room today there are about 9 mummies displayed.
