  • @BOYCOT4YT >implying that fuel could ever be inflammable

    sigh...

  • INFLAMMABLE FUEL,NASA ?!?

    NOT !

  • @Inuyasha44320 - but who protects the rights of the crash dummies?

  • Yea I know... it's kind of strange that boeing would use such a strange model name. But I believe that was their first "700 series" jet so they didn't follow that pattern yet.

  • You are right

I just did an image search of 'Boeing 720' and a still from this video was there.

it's just every time I see this video on one of those "amazing video" shows they are calling it a 707. And Boeing started calling the modified versions of other jets 747-B, 747-300 things similar to that which makes more sense.

  • nope it was a 720 (its just a shortened version of the 707)

Youtube won't let me post a link but look up "Controlled Impact Demonstration" on wikipedia and the article says it was a 720.

  • no it was a 707

  • well they were testing a fuel additive that would make fuel less explosive and flammable in plane crashes so there are less casualties, in this case, the additive helped but not significantly if i'm not wrong.

  • boeing 720 actually

  • 航空事故は怖いですからね、こうやって実際に遠隔で墜落させてデータを取るんでしょう。
