They didn't play Mother Mary after the Sonic Brew tour. During the early days of the STD tour, Philth left the band and was replaced by Craig & I'm pretty sure the only songs from those two albums they ever played with him were "Bored To Tears," "Born To Lose," "Low Down," "Lost My Better Half," "World Of Trouble," "Spoke In The Wheel," The Beginning...At Last," "No More Tears," "All For You," "Phony Smiles & Fake Hellos," "13 Years Of Grief," "Superterrorizer," and "Stronger Than Death."
Yeah, I think if they did play any of them during Ozzfest 2000 it was probably Mother Mary. That song actually did get some radio play over here. I didn't know them well before that show but not long afterwards they became my favorite band.
Oh, also, sometimes on the USA Sonic Brew tour, they threw in "Miracle Man" by Ozzy, between the guitar solo and Peddlers Of Death usually. In Europe, they sometimes played Lost My Better Half as the first song of the encore, before No More Tears. I think towards the end of the Sonic Brew tour they dropped Peddlers Of Death from the setlist for some reason.
I saw them in Columbus, Ohio a few days before this show, at the Alrosa VIlla (the same place we lost Dimebag at). I am friends with the original drummer Phil Ondich, so that's how I knew of BLS way back then. They didn't play any of these on Ozzfest 2000. Well, maybe a couple - but it was mostly Stronger Than Death songs at Ozzfest.
That's an awesome setlist. Were you there? I've seen BLS 4 times, but the only time they probably played these songs was when I was wasted at Ozzfest 2000.
The setlist for this show, and most shows on the Sonic Brew tour was: The Beginning...At Last Low Down The Rose Petalled Garden Hey You (Batch Of Lies) Toe'n The Line World Of Trouble Born To Lose Guitar Solo Peddlers Of Death Mother Mary Losin' Your Mind Bored To Tears ----encore---- No More Tears Horse Called War
