Bella's Australian owners threw her some table scraps--just as she jumped for the food--a toxic toad leapt in front of her.(SOT: Jackson Crews, Dog owner) "And she ended jumping on a cane toad and swallowing it whole, so I seen it all happen."The toxins from a cane toad can kill a dog in 20 minutes. Bella's owners called a vet.(SOT: Lisa Hansen, Veterinarian) "The young fellow took the call, they said rush it straight in because we knew that the dog had actually swallowed the cane toad and we figured oh well, not much hope."The vet gave Bella vomit-inducing drugs. 40 minutes after she swallowed it, out came the toad--still intact.(SOT: Jackson Crews, Dog owner) "Yeah about five minutes later the cane toad moved a bit and walked a couple of steps." (SOT: Lisa Hansen, Veterinarian) "If she had have mouthed it, or chewed on it or stressed it in any way shape or form she would be really sick now." Wow, what a story! Crazy that BOTH the toad and the dog survived.

My Dog got ahold of one yesterday morning. Luckily i was outside. I got my mom we flushed out her month. Then she puked up the rest of the toxins. Its not funny when you see that happen to your dog.
