I never saw David Janssen as "himself". You could tell he was nervous and was probably shy in real life.

Bring back the variety show. The Folies Bergiere just closed in Las Vegas at the Tropicana. It's a show format that is fast disappearing.

@Aushure - I'm glad you've been able to see The Fugitive. I've heard of MeTV in a classic TV forum I'm in, but I don't get it myself. I've been viewing The Fugitive by DVD rental. I'm VERY "prejudiced" against most new programs. I say that because they've disappointed me so often, I won't even give them a chance anymore. Example: Hawaii Five-0. Do the criminals use simple handguns? No, everything is an extra-violent machine gun affair. This is "shock & awe," not quality entertainment.

I am happy to see this. Janssen was my favrotite actor and I am very pleased that the fugitive is coming on MEtv on Sunday Night. Thanks to dentelTV2. You are so well appreciated for this.

@STP43FAN1 I read the same thing about him many times. Every film crew loved him, thought he was a real pro, and treated him as one of their own.

@Diogenes1360 500 channels and nothing good on. 2-13 was where it was at the the networks (along with the independents) really produced so good quality programming. I'd have to say though cable was good in the eighties but progressing into the nineties. Today providers want too much money. So it is just free signal that I receive on the digital converter and that is about it. Don't need to be throwing money away on cable. Besides that is what the internet is for

Back in the 60s, we only had channels 2-13, and the quality of programs that were on in those days was greater than what we get today with over 500 channels.

@DanMan869 Interesting that they promote "The Fugitive" here, as this was the second season and it was when "The Fugitive" was truly taking off.
-
@cnomad Reading the varied books on "The Fugitive" he had that shyness to him and it helped him gravitate toward the film crews - by all accounts I've read the ordinary film crews all loved him.

Janssen was an incredible person
This series of videos is beyond belief. Rare, precious, and very high in quality, as well. And, as if all that isn't enough, I have to admit that I'm moved to tears over seeing David Janssen out of character for the first time ever. This is simply amazingly wonderful and DenTel (I'm sorry ... Your profile doesn't reveal your name) deserves the gratitude of the entire YouTube "audience" for making this series of videos available for all of us to enjoy. My heartfelt, warmest thanks go out to you.
