Sean that's not a dirty hit, and the commentator is ether biased or just wasn't paying attention. The game is played at a fast pace, and Stevens was already about to make the hit when Kariya got rid of the puck. In slow motion obviously it seems like he had all the time in the world to stop, but watching it at regular speed it's easy to see the hit was bound to happen o matter what. Finishing a check isn't dirty, and Scott Stevens was the best at what he did.
