As the funeral procession pulls away from Toronto city hall with Olivia, Michael and Sarah walking behind the hearse carrying the body of Jack Layton, en-route to Roy Thompson Hall for the funeral service. Followed by thousands of Torontonian's and visitors from coast to coast. I stood beside a family from Vancouver while I watched the procession pass by me.

  • Nice job. I am in the US and have not seen the procession. Never agreed with his politics but ALWAYS supported the democratic principles and standing up for the little guy. RIP Jack.

  • @JimGraham1973 Thank you Jim, I've always been a liberal supporter myself. However Jack was special. Always looking out for the little guy. The NDP have always played a vital role in Canadian politics, by keeping the little guy in consideration when the other two parties have looked after the large corporations. Not to mention they are responsible for our national health care system. Thanks again, Peace!

  • Thank you for the compliment. Yes those are bicycle bells you can hear. I was standing beside a family visiting from Vancouver and a couple from England on vacation heard about Jack on the news and wanted to take it all in. They expressed to me that something like this would never ever happen in England. Only in Canada eh! I sure felt proud.

  • you know what's really amazing? The Canadians were very respectful by giving them space and there were no barriers needed to keep the crowd back...

  • Incredible... i was just a few feet away from you I think, right in front of the horses but I took off on my bike wanting to stay with the pipers...

The sea of people flooding from Nathan Phillips is quite a sight. Thank you for capturing it.

  • Loves it! I was there, and this captures it wonderfully! Thanks for sharing!
