RE: Video Of Derrion Albert Killed In Street

Tragedy... I am not condoning or excusing these actions. I forgot to mention that a lot of these kids only "think" they are in gangs. They are posers and pretenders who portray real life things. They emulate gangs. They do what they feel they should to "prove" themselves. This is when pride is taken too far. One thing I am happy to see, out of this video, is that these KIDS didn't have knives and guns. That's a blessing, believe it or not, and let me explain. If these children were causing this much harm with sticks, imagine what it may have been like w/guns. Imagine how many potentially innocent people (which is often the case) that would have been killed. Furthermore, its a blessing because it's common place for kids in fights like these to have a gun. Instead of 1 dead body, we'd have 4. Remember there were 4 victims total, and I wasn't there, there were probably more involved. Hell imagine both sides having guns. Then we could have 8 children dead in the streets or worse, when he police arrive on the spot, there could a potential shoot out and for many police, having to shoot a kid is almost career ending and emotionally crippling. So looking at the BIGGER picture, it's a blessing that they did not have more dangerous weapons.

Pretending there is no problem doesn't solve anything. "Shutting Up" about it, doesn't solve a thing. I believe that there are far too many people milking the race card for more than its worth, but then there are times when you must question people in power. The fact that there were 2 police on patrol of that area and neither came to the scene or the fact that, in the Jenna. LA area there are tons of complaints against racist cops but the state does nothing about it. U enjoy living in ignorance.
