From the same batch of tapes, I present to you a late 1980's intro to a CIC Video tape. Yes, I know it falls into Viacom's field of play, but bugger them. The tape in question was "Saturday Night Fever".
CIC Video was the overseas video joint venture of Paramount Pictures and Universal Pictures, created soon after the original CIC (Cinema International Corporation) became UIP (United International Pictures).
Videos from CIC Video were manufactured/distributed through the various predecessors of Southern Star Group, including Tafe-Hardie Group and THG Video, and Rainbow Products Pty. Ltd. When Universal purchased Polygram Filmed Entertainment, they absorbed their video division as their own, and CIC Video became Paramount Home Entertainment.
This was a sell-through title, and therefore, comes with no trailers. This clip features the copyright warning, the CIC Video logo, classification information, and the Paramount 1970's-1980's logo.

PG-must've been the 1979 re-release version where they edit out the curse words and sexual content...I prefer the R rated version. Also noticeable...the film grain and hiss. When SNF hit Bluray and DVD, it looked like a new movie.

I never knew the stars behind the warning moved. Very flash for the late 80s.
