  • price of gas these days you'd be throwing good 100-150$ range of gas every 5 or y days lol

  • @Gibson299 these cars are only driven on special occasions like a club run or Sunday cruse so petrol is not a issue.

  • Havent' seen a '69 with the hood ornament... I didn't think that was an option in 1969 model?... Did you add that? BTW, beautiful car. I usually don't like modern wheels on classic lincolns but those look nice!!! Hope you kept the original hubcaps.

  • @swilliams9213 The hood ornament was on the car when I purchased it, so cannot ans your question sorry, this car sold new in Hollywood in January 1969 (still tracing) and was then purchased by a notable doctor, the wheels remain 15s so do not change the stance of the car they would be over 30 years old. I have had countless offers for them but wont sell.

  • People always change the exhaust system so these cars are loud like a cheap muscle car burbling away at idle.

The cars had dual mufflers and some had "resonators" also just before the end tail pipes.

These were luxury cars that prided on how whisper quiet they were.

I actually remember in the early 1970's when sometimes you couldn't even tell if the car had the motor running when you were standing behind it-they were so quiet.

  • Thanks so much for your insight and you are so right the Mark 3 was Ford top luxury vehicle and whisper quite but also were Lincolns most potent V8 in 69 at 365 HP & 500 ft lb of torque at only 2800rpm (this one has had a complete rebuild and the motor is still fresh) they left a lot of people standing at the lights in 69 and if you care to indulge they can lay more rubber then a old man with a blow up doll.

  • This car is so gorgeous. I wish that luxory cars were still made like this, it's so beautiful. I bet you can do a burnout in it without even trying

  • Nice and glossy

  • @Tigerpaw10: You said it -- Rolls Royce among other manufactures were outraged by that perfection; Cadillac and Buick, too, were amazed that Lincoln had pulled that off, clearly staking new and expanded claims in their august markets ... more so than ever! To think, too ... all those LOUD Chevrolet and European cars, mated to what invariably seem fittingly tacky or haughty owners and aficionados ... hideously overrated engineering messes, with mind-numbing idle noise & social status pollution.

  • @heymargaretlook Hey I AINT NO OLD MAN-LOL

There's not a car today that could compare to this beauty. I know we all sound like broken records saying that but it's the truth

  • @heymargaretlook Hey I AINT NO OLD MAN-LOL

  • Didn't think the 1969 had a hood ornament? Did u add that? BTW, very nice car!
