What great memories. I was a huge RS fan and went to see them all over the UK and Ireland. Regards to your Dad and Uncles. Didn't they have shiny hair. Is Colin the Dad of Liam from One Direction?
@SusanWillingham I know what you mean. My own family is LOADED with Irish ancestry. Almost without exception, my family heritage is from Belfast and Bangor. As far back as I can trace my roots, everyone comes from one of those two places.
@brennieb64 I live in northern Alabama and we have tons of Irish surnames in this area. My maternal grandmother was a Carney before marrying. Lot of Scots and Irish came in through the Carolinas and eastern Tennessee and settled there and further South.
Lead singer seems to be enjoying himself and has a decent voice, drummer seems rather "chipper", the other 3 seem to be a bit "stiff" and self-conscious. But decent video. I like to choose videos randomly and watch even if I have never heard of the group (which is the case with this one). So this is the uncles and father of one of the comment-posters? Must be proud of dear old dad and the others. Did they continue with the music?
@judy49luvsles55 Hey up! Just thought you might wanna know that the band have a reunion gig at the Downpatrick Museum this Saturday, 14th May '11 ! Should be good craic, get yourself there if you live near! Peace.
@conhuirmckee It wasn't just the northern US cities that the Irish settled. The Irish helped established cities all over the country. In my area, itn eht southern US, the Irish dominated the area.
