@terrellfarms1 We have a 8630 that pulls a 32 foot Case IH 3950 Disk every planting season and it pulls it very well...it has the 50 series engine in it.

@terrellfarms1 Our neighbor had a large Krause 40ft disk that he pulled with a 9370 case quad-trac that he had alot of trouble with. It was the one where the wing gangs pivoted parallel to the ground then fold up like a regular disk harrow. They kept cracking the frame on theirs at the pivot of the gang. after fixing it several times in a couple years they traded it in on a 37 ft. 637 john deere. As far as i know they are still using it with no issues. I think it was just a design issue.

Thanks just interested.
Great Video Jeff. I wish i could have raised my boy on the farm as i was raised. I got out of the business in 1998. I still own the land but it is leased now. I love the old 8630 i had a 1977 model that we used to pull a 30ft Massey Ferguson disk with till the front diff. housing cracked in half while harrowing a field. It looked like an anteater with its nose buried in the ground. How big is the disk you are pulling? I had a guy on Youtube argue an 8630 would not pull a 30ft harrow.

@terrellfarms1 The disk is 28ft. I am pretty sure that the ole gal would pull a 30 footer with no problem. We have a 35.5 2210 John Deere field cultivator with a 36 ft brillion packer that the old 8630 always pulls in the spring. Ten years ago, Stoutenburg's had an 8640 that they pulled a 45ft 1010 with a rolling harrow II. Did not pull real deep. But none the less worked alot of ground.

@eagerjeffrey Yea ours was a work horse. All ours ever pulled was the 30ft disk and a 30ft do-all over plowed ground. I'm not saying it was a trouble free pice but it did a good job. It was used when we bought it. We traded it in on a 4955 john deere in the late eighties. Is that a Krause disk yopour pulling and if it is what kind of service have you gotten out of it?

@terrellfarms1 Yes it is a Krause 1950 disk. Been a pretty good disk, just add bearings every so often and keep it tight.

How many acres do you farm? Because I see a lot of big tractor in you videos. Are they all yours??

The older equipment is mine. I have 2-4055, a 6400, 8560 and a 8630. I am running a 9600 combine and I also have an 8100 Eagle for spraying. I farm 1,100 acres. The newer equipment that you see in the videos, is from neighboring farms which are farming at least double my size.
