R.I.P. Dougie and Jerry. such a loss to Cape Breton music, coming from a Cape Breton fiddle player, your music will never be forgotten!

Dougie 's great playing -his style was one of the coolest i ever heard as a young fiddler- he took the style that Jerry Had Introduced and made it even "slinkier"-fast and quick notes -it could said that his writing was his best contribution to music however- as he wrote some tunes that tillthis day I can't play as they have twists inthem that only the 80's watching of tv and listening to modern music could have produced- Have fun playing in heaven with Jerry and John Morris and Tara lynn

Hard to believe that 2009 has taken both of these great fiddlers. The Cape Breton Celtic Community will dearly miss both of these amazing fiddlers. We miss you Jerry and now we will miss you too Dougie!
