@collegeSuxlikeDis u grow the roots out long in a deep pot then spread the roots over the rock and into the soil and in my case hope you are lucky to get such good root form lol
on rock?? what the?? how'd you do it??? i have an azalea tree that I'm pruning in hopes of turning into a bonsai. Your tree is magnificent, care to share any tips on how to get the roots to look like that???

Beautiful work with this roots-over-rock style. Did you use lava rock? The 360 rotation is very helpful, to see all aspects of the tree.
