Children's Craniofacial Association Retreat Reel CCA

Children's Craniofacial Association Retreat Reel was created by a donation from the Torey's Distraction Fund. The CCA is dedicated to improving the quality of life for people with facial differences and their families. Nationally and internationally, CCA addresses the medical, financial, psychosocial, emotional, and educational concerns relating to craniofacial conditions. CCA's mission is to empower and give hope to individuals and families affected by facial differences.

This is wonderful that each of these children are able to get together to make new friends. Many of them probably had a difficult time in school -- kids at that age can be so cruel to each other. Many of these kids probably felt as if they were all alone.

By giving them an event like this, they can meet other kids who are unique like themselves...they don't have to feel like they are the "only one" who may look a little different than the other kids.

I have a friend that I grew up with that has this...I didn't know what it was until I saw it on Ripley's. My friend is pretty normal and participates in the special Olympics. That's my homie. I knew him since I was 5. I'm 19 now and he is too
