The grounds at the Arizona Biltmore Hotel and Cottages Phoenix, Arizona, 1927.
A collaborative effort of Frank Lloyd Wright and architect Albert McArthur (sometimes attributed to one of the two, though Wright gives McArthur full credit). This hotel is the largest of the "textile block" design, original concept by Frank Lloyd Wright. Others, by Wright, are found mainly in California.

  • Frank Lloyd Wright gives full credit to Albert Chase McArthur

  • Nice shooting. But why do you rich bastards enjoy rubbing it in to us little people who could never afford to spend even a night at the Biltmore.

  • Just go there in mid-August when it's 110 in the shade, you "little people" will get the best rates!

  • In the 70's while in High School we use to crash the pool on a hot summers day.

    Niver got tossed out once.

  • WOW this video is OLD. certainly not taken in 2006 ... there are a lot of plants feces and fountains that arent there now. Also, footage at the end, of the Catalina pool without the villas surrounding it... I honestly think this video must be from 1991-1992

  • It's beautiful. That is all that counts. I make less than 20K, but it's beautiful to me. ps I went to architecture school.

  • I WAS THERE 3 TIMES! i love it

  • Great video, very well done. Really highlights the unique character of the property.

  • I was there today and yesterday

  • The rates are PHEMONENAL during the summer. We always stay there then!

    Enjoy!

  • I run this place.. well not run but I work there and your description is totally false. The hotel was not a collaberation of anyones. It was a design and finished by Albert Chase himself. We give a history tour every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 10AM. Why don't you come and learn something rather than spew incorrect info on youtube.
