Vanessa is the most amazing bellydancer in Chicago, no question about that! Her movements go exactly to the music, and she slows down and speeds up exactly as the music requires it. Her hip movements are truly amazing!

The 1st song is the classic song Tammra Henna. Vanessa has improved immensely from when I saw her very first performance in Chicago. Brazilian belly dancers favor very fast movements which goes over well in Chicago as Assyrian bands tend to play very fast. She's learned to slow down when the music slows down. She's a very high energy dancer. I think she's got great. But I would also like to see her slow down when the music requires it.

You have such a wonderful traditional style, and the dance just seems to flow effortlessly from you. So many women try too hard to "perform" belly dance, and it looses it's true roots...By far my favorite dance on Youtube...
