I was on the USS GUIDE (MSO-447) , a WWII class MineSweeper, Ocean going. and it did not look like this wreck...my guess is this is a mine layer vessel.

@joemcooolpants82 It's in Cozumel. Under 82 feet, it is good penetration if you have the specialty C-Card. Don't do it as a beginner. Dive Safely!

minesweeper gets rid of mines, mine layer puts the mines at sea. Which one is it (The title says sweeper but the description says layer)?

My brother served on it during WW2. It has a long and distinguished history. He would never talk about it but, I've recently been able to track it on the internet. He's gone now and I wish I could see the ship. At 76, I have to rely on video. Thanks for posting it.
