  • My brother served on it during WW2. It has a long and distinguished history. He would never talk about it but, I've recently been able to track it on the internet. He's gone now and I wish I could see the ship. At 76, I have to rely on video. Thanks for posting it.

  • I was on the USS GUIDE (MSO-447) , a WWII class MineSweeper, Ocean going. and it did not look like this wreck...my guess is this is a mine layer vessel.

  • @joemcooolpants82 It's in Cozumel. Under 82 feet, it is good penetration if you have the specialty C-Card. Don't do it as a beginner. Dive Safely!

  • @mechwarreir2 It's a sweeper.

  • @predi888 She was lost when Mexico got custody and wanted to attract divers like me, so they sank her. Likely burst her flood pumps.

  • minesweeper gets rid of mines, mine layer puts the mines at sea. Which one is it (The title says sweeper but the description says layer)?

  • @Yayapilo yeah, some wrecks are creepy others not so much

  • creeepy!

  • Ummm sweeper or layer? make up your mind
