Lucky Dube - House of Exile

This song says a lot for the people of S. Africa who have been exploited and oppressed by the British. People say that racism doesn't happen much anymore and that if the British weren't in Africa when they were, well, then the Africans would have been killing each other off even more. Whatever the case may be, there are still major issues to be dealt with in S. Africa that the British have walked away from and continue to ignore. In Cape Town Province the rates of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders alone have risen to a point that is so high it would make your stomach turn- let's say about 100-200 cases per 1,000 infants are affected annually. I have heard some people in New Zealand say to me that the worse thing "we" can do is help "them" and basically "they" ought to be left to die. Although not everyone out there feels this way, white supremecy is still predominate in most Western societies whether people are conscious or unconscious of it. It is also sad that the majority of people can not take responsibility for the damage or hassles they have caused others or at least try to rectify them. Usually changes only happen after things have gotten out of control but there is always hope and that is what Mandela gave and continues to give to the African peoples as Obama is trying to give to the Americans in a different way. But ultimately change has to come from within and that is the first step and also the last.

In fact most serial killers in America had a religious upbringing- religion causes emotional repression and inhibition and is the cause of all our wars- do not thump the book on my channel because that dogma has nothing to do with human integrity or dignity! @qwarkanaqw1 LOL- however in NZ some of the Maori people act more white, or Pakeha as they say, than Maori. I say the same thing about many Native American people... so how does one stay true to their soul/ancestry w/out conforming to the mainstream? I have experienced many S. African white people in NZ & I found them cold, not all but many- next to the Australians, I don't know who is better.... Yet I understand your feelings. The movie Rabbit Proof Fence is very good to watch to understand.

I wouldn't say white, by soul yes, Im pure, but my blood is of England, Haiti, France, Italy, Ireland, Scotland. I love reggae. Is that a crime? Hate is a 2 way road. Slavery is something that even the Germans where at one time. Even the germans where considered of a poor race quality and where sold as slaves. Ignorance is also part of recipe for hate. For if people knew history they would stop hating. One also has to be forgiving to end the cycle.

In US this love is narcissistic love of self in general- why we've eating disorders, addictions, greed & huge homeless populations in 1 of the richest economies- mental diseases from chemical expo & genetic diseases is a prob. @JOSIMBZ You'll find that some whites will help Africans & Africans will turn on Africans & exploit their own- don't judge all by the pigmentation of their skin- also many are of mixed race- is that their fault? can someone else's control another's sexual behaviour?... Mandela rose above narrow-mindedness, helping Africans- the white man is exhausting & sometimes the indigenous- I find this in my own struggle in Western society. Its hard to revive Indigeneity once Westernized & lost.
