I went to see this when I was 14,,,and got grounded for months afterwards.I had been told,,
"you will NOT go to see this" God, all the memories that come back when hearing this.

This is without doubt the best theme song and opening titles of all the Bond movies. No argument! So he strikes, like Thunder BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLL

@rockermanmatt I have to disagree, Casino Royale had one of the better stories in the series. Maybe a little more complex than the Connery films, but great nonetheless. Quantum of Solace and all of Brosnan's (except maybe GoldenEye) , however, were all about the action,

Not sure if this has been mentioned in a previous comment:
When recording this Tom Jones was very sick, it was all done in a single take, and he fainted at the end of the song and was taken to hospital.
I thought that was a bit interesting.

By the way, I remember seeing this on a warm summer day when it came out. I was about 10 and this film absolutely blew me away, starting with this theme (a toss up between this and Goldfinger, but because of the sense of dread and drama [and TJ's vocals], I vote for Thunderball).
