Children Of The Snake (original song)

A progressive rock song about man's inhumanity to man, and some advice for the opulent minorities including myself. It's time we made ourselves useful to those less fortunate, folks!
So this is a Christian rock song, loosely base around John 8:44,
"You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies."

But recurring wars of revenge will only increase this

Without houses, plumbing, cars and big TVs
Who will die by the bullet, and who by desease?
This country won't be free until we free our detainees

And I've felt guilty and failed to act,
I've seen my esteem fall down in front of me
My shame hanging from a Judas Tree
I've gone across the water and seen what it's like
To live as the defeated,
To struggle to survive,
Have we grown hearts of rigid skin
That can't be revived?

A fallen shadow of what we could have been,
The broken remains of a creation
Meant to bring glory to the God unseen,
And every day is a disaster
Compared to the paradise we don't deserve,
And I can't reconcile my weakness,
And though I'm grateful for grace I will reserve

Could finally make these lessons learned

Pushing through this world like pushing meat through a sieve
Fighting for a life that refuses to live
