Excellent advice. Cut your addictions. After ten years of ignoring my 80% completed novel, I quit drinking and am back writing and just editing the finished version now. I used to think I needed alcohol and cannabis in order to be creative. I didn't - it just stopped me from being creative.

Thanks for the nice words. I suspect you're referring to the Canadian children's author, Eric Wilson. I've written ten novels, all listed at WilsonWriter . com, but you're reference to book reports and growing up made me think you mean the other guy--who's about twenty years older, btw. lol
