  • Toney was robbed in the Griffin fights, no question. even more so in the 2nd fight as Toney in the first fight could not get out of the way of most of griffins shots, I mean he did okay but in the 2nd fight, Toney was able to get under the shorter mans jab and was far more effective. he won both fights, and honestly, it wasn't even mistakeable.

  • James Toney is the only fighter I know that according to Critics and announcers is never allowed to stop punching. I know his offense is beautifull to watch but so is his Defense and it is all part of his game. Pro Boxing Scoring System = Effective Aggression,Defense,Clean and Hard Punching,Ring Generalship. It's all part of his game,When he isn't as busy, he is making the other guy miss and expend energy, while lulling him to sleep b4 punishing him some more.and it's all the sweet science

  • using the Pro Boxing Scoring System. 30 - 27 Toney through 3 rounds. Toney's biggest problem in his career, is it's to easy for him. He could go this guy in at any time. 4th = Toney, 5th = Toney, 6th = Toney, Mcgroom knows who he is in there with, a true great, you can tell at the end of round 6. He's happy to be in there with James, he knows he can't win the fight now but he's loving it.
