Went to Dallas Karting Complex with friends for the first time. Video shows 1 lap and two spin outs edited in at the end. What a Rush!
Video was shot using a Contour HD GPS video camera at 720P using a universal mounting clamp on the side of the kart. I didn't have time to properly level the camera on a couple of heats, so you will need to tilt your head a bit...
GPS data and video was imported into DashWare to display the course map and telemetry info. I will bring an extra memory card and shoot 1080P next time to try out image stabilization in Adobe Premiere Elements at 720P.
I have a lot more respect for professional race car drivers now! It takes a lot of strength and stamina to work the tight turns. Not to mention the skills!
In addition to the Contour HD GPS camera and DashWare software mentioned in the description, I used Pedco UltraClamp Assembly and universal camera mount for the Contour purchased from Amazon to mount on the Kart. Still looking for good stabilization software....
