@TheLightYagami I think it might be from his nationals or a GP, the cards that are jused in such turnaments are marked by the judges, to make it harder for people no cheat. I doubt that it as a card alter, tho i might be wrong.
-
@zhengjing1 I see, though, I would not say it is a "basic rule". A basic rule is something like "you have to shuffle" and "dont stab anyone".
-
@TheLightYagami dci rules states that any alteration of cards need to first be approve by the head judge. Anything thats not a signature from the writer is generally not approved. This is one of the basic rules.
-
@zhengjing1 Makes sence, but I'm pretty sure that it wouldnt be cheating.
-
@TheLightYagami might be to remind him of paying for it on the upkeep. Even though that is considered as cheating.

@taishoukinjiro 1) It's Tendrils of Agony, not Corruption. 2) Scourge (the set that Tendrils is in) is not legal in Modern.
-
he will play it for a red mana, just for x=0 and then with flashback cost again.
-
Quick question, how does he discard conflagarate?
-
Wait, why exactly can't he play Tendrils of Corruption?
-
whats with the triangles on the pacts?
-
his cards look like fun. best of luck for this guy!
-
Suggested nickname; the Flying Dutchman.
-
He finished 9th. Wescoe check!
-
hey, i saw that guy at the m12 pre-release.
-
Cause most of the spells he's actually hard casting are Blue. When he goes off, he'll have the red sources from his draw pieces (ie. cards in the top row).
-
@Letadelko For thinning the deck I think
-
When he goes off, he draws his entire deck. There are a lot of of 'free' mana sources like Simian Spirit Guide in it, as shown at the start of the video, which makes it easy to cast the kill spell for 0 to get it in the graveyard.
-
How does he get his kill spell in the grave if he goes off on 5 or 6 mana and is tabbed out?
-
Scalding Tarn and no Mountain in deck? Why?
-
@RSosage2781 I totes lurve ur abbrevs
-
@MATTierial not really. they took out preordain and ponder which were far too reliable and also took out blazing shoals cause a lucky two turn kill is pretty dumb since most decks wouldn't have mana up for a counter and just lose. obviously they didn't expect combo decks to just drop from the format as they didn't ban all deck search cards, storm cards, mana cards, and other combo cards including exarch twin, which actually won the pro tour.

Wizard's goal of neutering combos in modern... Failed miserably.
