  • I read the instruction but it doesn't say whether or not it's the skipping or joining decrease. So in that case, what do you think it's the best thing for me to do? Thank you for your help! =)

  • If you have an image, you may be able to tell from the image. I imagine that yours may be joining but it is difficult to know without seeing the actual instructions.

  • Would it be the same concept for single crochet? Because for my pattern it says:

Sc 4, dec 1*, repeat 6 times (30 sts). Does that mean I will sc 4 times, then decrease one just like how you do it above, but for sc and not the vstitch? Hope that make sense. =)

  • The concept of decreasing is the same overall. What you run in to that will be different is what stitches you are skipping or joining in order to decrease. There are two ways to decrease which is by skipping stitches or joining stitches. Your pattern instructions should clarify what type of decreasing you will be doing.

With your instructions, you will single crochet 4 times, then do a decrease.

  • Do you have these instructions for decreasing the V-Stitch in writing? This is something I need to have in my files on your work. Also, do you have a pattern for a flat beanie hat using the V-stitch like the Summer Hat?
