my mom had a 78 riv.it had every option 4 wheel disc breaks403 motor it was 2 tone silver with black int. she traded in for a 85 cadillic el do. it had the 4100ht motor it was a a pig slower than the 7 year itch. the rivera is under rated for some reason

Buick sold 46k units between the '77 and '78 model years with this generation of the Riv. Two tones were highly popular in the late 70's and this color combination is frequently seen on these cars. The front end was imitated on the '80 Regal.

@68prescott Thanks for the stats on the Riviera! The car sure was popular, and the fact that the Regal imitated the style suggests management knew it would be a selling point!
