  • R&RHOF are fools. They told me GFRxR was not a big influince. I honestly can NOT think of a band in the '70's that was a bigger influince to a young person wanting to start a band than GFRxR. Every young man in the 70's wanted to be like Mark Farner. He was iconoclast.

    I think when something can not be explained in life, such as the way R&RHOF acts. It can almost always be traced to envy. GFRxR was sell-out 25,000-50,000 seat arenas nightly, when other bands couldn't sell-out a 500 seat club.

  • I actually made it to this show - It was so good to see them all together - It aint a bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich unless you have the bacon, lettuce and tomato

  • Ha, well put. Mark, Don, & Mel=GFRxR!!!

  • As with all my GFRxR/Farner videos, there is a link in this video's description to a petition to induct Mark Farner & GFRxR into The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. It takes only seconds to sign it. Come on all you Funk Brothers & Sisters. We need your signature & comments!

  • GFR. Don Brewer- Mr Ass Kicker

  • I fell in love with this band in 1970 at the tender age of 9. They were my first rock and roll buzz.

  • What a Great drummer Don really is, here's some evidence......;;;

  • Grand Funk Railroad is not Grand Funk Railroad without Mark Farner - THIS IS GRAND FUNK RAILROAD PEOPLE.....................

  • AWESOME !!!!!! Saw them 4 times from 1972 to 1975. The best !!!!

  • Wrong.Know the facts before challenging me asshole.I have known Mark since the 60s..Get it the 60s.He is using a Bogen amp with West Cabs.And PV does SUCK.Thats why he is using what he is using.Now go back to your homework and do not bother me again .I will not respond to your UN Knowledge.Those amps were there for looks and an indorsment..You have no idea who i am and who I have worked with so STFU.

  • Peavey amps do NOT suck...They're very well made and last......Anyway Mark was playing thru his West cabinets with the Peavey Roadmaster heads driving his sound....The 5150's on stage were props since Peavey was sponsoring the tour.

  • I was at that show!

  • I heard Don play before I saw that tiny kit he uses and it really inspired me to seek talent over amount of equipment. I'm a dude but I gotta admit this brings a little tear to my eyes. We had the best days did we not? The best bands and what can you say about GFR? Thanks for posting all this Packed funk! GFR is already in the REAL 'hall of fame'. WE already know how great they were. Still...they deserve it. I'm 51 next month and remember listening to their 1st LP like it was yesterday!

  • Great!! Mark, Don, and Mel forever!!
