Store worker playing the Erhu (Chinese Violin)

My friend and I just took a stroll into a very interesting Chinese gift store, where they sell many trinkets, books, jewelry, costumes, and Chinese instruments. And it just so happened that a man who works there began tuning and testing out the Chinese violins that came in.

I asked what that was, and he said it's a "Chinese violin", so, I think it's what they call an Erhu...

By the way, I remember when I was really young, there was a Chinese sounding song that I liked, and when my Chinese friends heard it, they laughed and said, "This is Chinese elevator music!" I was a bit embarrassed, so after that, I decided to listen to more Chinese classical pieces! :)

There is a very famous Chinese classical piece it reminds me of. Well, actually two. I will get the names wrong since I'm working from long memory, but here goes: "The Butterfly Lovers Concerto." ? and "The Yellow River Concerto." Especially, "The Yellow River in Anger." Gosh, how do you play an instrument like that with no frets or marks to tell where you are? : )
