Also, you didn't mention Tibor Kalman at all who he worked for in New York at M&Co, who was/is one of his major influences to this day (google his AIGA article on design heroes). Apart from that, well done! Sagmeister is an exceptional graphic designer with producing highly inspirational work!

Hey there! I recently wrote an essay on Sagmeister and one of his statements concerning a revival of modernism in the late 80s/early 90s in Graphic Design. I think you should have mentioned that he used to be in a couple of (punk) rock bands as a teenager and he designed the covers for them. thats really the first thing that got him into designing records sleeves and so graphic design.
