Breath Me Duet

This dance was not choreographed by me, but by the girl and one of her friends. This is from Southside dance company's fall 2008 show at South Forsyth High School. The big awesome lift was borrowed from So You Think You Can Dance. I can't remember the names of the dancers, but I remember it was a contemporary piece. The song is "Breath Me" by Sia. Criticism is appreciated!

The lift was from Mia Michael's piece with Lacey and Kameron called Dancing. But other than that, it was okay, it was a little off though, in terms of counting.. other than that the choreography was there, but it just wasn't well executed..

Bravisimo! I don't agree that they lack emotion. You could see every painstakingly detailed body movement, even each breath she took. Beautiful dance!

Its a pretty peice...but where is the fire? the passion? the emotion? They seem to be almost robotic, and just focused on technique, and not feeling the music at all. So much potential, but feel the music.

i totally think it didnt lack power... not at all honestly. Emotion, yep it wasn't quite there,because they are TOO MUCH controlled with their movement... it isnt believable that much. And yet i still liked it.Awesome choreography for sure

They could have done so much more with this song.. or at least put some effort and emotion into it. They looked uninterested. Potential though definitely.

I can't tell if the audio is off but, the dancers seemed to be a half step ahead of the music. But, sometimes audio and video don't sync when uploading.  So, it could just be that. I liked this routine and I *love* this song. It always reminds me of the Six Feet Under series finale and I bawl my eyes out. I love that show. :)
