There are lots of DC-3s still flying around the world, but only one original DC-2. It showed up at AirVenture in Oshkosh (via Rock Falls, Illinois), and AVweb had a look at it.

  • This the only one flying in the world, AS OF NOW! There was 2 during 2009, but it retired from it's wonderful showing because of so many repairs, it couldnt risk being fractured. It is the only flying DC-2, owned (meaning it was owned) by Trans World Airlines. It is a very beautiful plane, thanks for sharing this piece of work. :)

  • A bad informed person.

Fokker never produced nor assembled DC2's(they did assemble DC3's) and

as said before this is not the only flying DC2.

  • too much talk,

not enough video detail of the plane.

  • Great plane but this isn't the only one flying in the world!

At the Dutch aviation themepark Aviodome in Lelystad we've got a beautifully restored flying DC-2 also. It's the PH-AJU called the UIVER named after the famous DC-2 that won the LONDON-MELBOURNE race back in 1934 on handicap.

    Please Google for it.

  • AVweb simply has the best coverage of airshows. Keep up the great work.

  • Very nice.

  • awesome
