"Initiation" is a fan film made by TheDuoGroup. (Not an official video)
"Initiation" takes place before Altair has received the coveted title of "Hashshashin." Like all young men, Altair aspired to leave his mark on the world. After years of grueling training, fear and anticipation course through his veins. Anticipation, because he understands that this is the last rite of passage towards brotherhood. Fear, because he knows that though hundreds of apprentices have reached this point, few come back alive.

@TheBigEggRoll look again... since the first AC he doesn't have his ring finger. Ezio, however, does posess one because it is no longer required for an assassin to lose a finger to use a hidden blade.

So, Altair's left ring finger is gone forever? Because, I've played Assassin's Creed games that includes Altair and he has a left ring finger.

Uh, play the games. In assassins creed one altair has his finger cut off. In assassins creed 2 as ezio he doesnt becauseLeonardo da Vinci modified the hidden blade so he could keep his fingers
