I agree. Real intense Kung Fu training prepares all aspects of a student in mind, body and spirit. Every form is repeatedly endless with precision until it's second nature. This helps in real life situations where strikes are anticipated and counter moves are executed.
Critics of Kung Fu are just morons who think the world of UFC and BJJ. They've never been exposed to traditional training. It's like comparing Classical Music to drunk Karaoke. Not the same.

Reality is a fighter with a Kung Fu background has never, ever gotten far in the MMA. The MMA is the vision of people like Bruce Lee who realized the best way to train is to take he most effective attacks from every art.

Reason people don't think real Kung Fu works is that not many actually succeed in learning how to truly apply it. That goes for a lot of guys who've been training for years and many so called sifus teaching it as well. When you get into a fight and all your training goes out the window and you revert to caveman hammerfists and rolling on the ground then you have wasted a lot of time. I love mma but a true Kung Fu master would put them in a hospital in a blink of an eye.
