New hamsters are here!

Here's a first look at my new hamsters! The person I got them from found them abandonned in a cage, near her house. There were three babies with their Mother, who has stayed with my friend, the only male of the litter went with another friend of mine and the two little females have come home with me! This is little female number 1 ( I haven't thought of a name for either of them, yet!)

i have a question this is my first hamster i got and every time i go to bed he chews on his cage for like 10 or 15 minutes. why does he do this?

Sorry to say that your hamster is most likely bored. Since it's only for 10 or 15 minutes, it doesn't sound like the problem is really bad or anything, but hamsters are very smart and he obviously knows you are still nearby and is attempting to get your attention. This can be solved by providing new toys/chews for him (it's your bedtime, but not his, remember! He's nocturnal, so will naurally be awake at night. ) But don't give these to him until then, or he'll get bored of them.

Yep, but luckily they've always gone back in! I'll find a tube has poped out or something and there's food scattered all over the table, but Gucci and Prada are still in their house!  They must know they've got it good!

How many hamsters do you have in that huge cage? Have they escaped somwhen?

I've got two winter white dwarf hamsters and yes, they have escaped, but only if I haven't put the tubes back in firmly after cleaning it out. They always went back into their homes, even if they got out! They know they have it good!
