@Killersfrombeyond It's a smooth coated Brussels Griffon (also known as Griffon Petite Brabrancon). They also come in a rough coated version - Griffon Bruxelloise or Griffon Belge, depending on color.
Colors (for both types of coat) are: Pure black, Red/Brown with black markings, or Black with brown markings.
- they're a very social, playfull and loyal breed, and known for their rat chasing skills (hence the nick name, Belgian rat dog).

@croutonthegreat I don't get the whole 'difference between American and Canadian accents' thing. I'm British and I really can't tell the difference. I think you guys tend to over-analyse it, no offense or anything.
